Linear expansion coefficients

The coefficient of linear expansion (α) represents the elongation in meters of a bar of 1m, when it is heated with toC.
If you have a bar with length L(m) and it is heated with toC it will lengthen and will have the length:

Lt = L(1+α x t)

The table shows the coefficient of linear expansion of the materials presented in the table below. Select material and press “Show linear expansion coefficients” to find the coefficient
